Not The Nineties!

The May 2000 issue of The Last Laugh contained a do-it-yourself board game as its centerfold. It was called Not The Nineties!

I don’t know if anyone ever played it; I doubt it. The potshots are pretty brutal for a fun diversion. What can I say, the 1990s were actually pretty brutal themselves. The game provides a reasonably accurate simulation of trudging through ten unpleasant years.

I had a copy of the CD in my old car for so long the case turned into shardy shit.

30 years ago, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off came out. If you build a time machine and go back to 1986, you might just enjoy that movie.

Big Audio Dynamite

It wasn’t a Clash LP that had a stencil, it was CRASS! CRASS, YOU STUPID CARTOONIST! PUT THE BONG DOWN FOR CHRIST’S SAKE!

One of my old writing partners had a saying: “They can’t all be golden.” I think this particular strip illustrates that axiom nicely. But let’s be frank, you forgot B.A.D. was even a thing until just now.
