While taking stock of how totally insane I’ve become over the last 20 years, many cold hard truths came to light. It would be unfair to place the blame upon the city of Atlanta, tempting and convenient though that may be. No, I take full onus for my insanity and overall obsessive/compulsive misbehavior; for a gentleman such as myself, they are par for the course.

Believe it or not, a good bit of thought goes into my creative output, in particular where exactly in my figurative empire that output fits best. Should I post an article here, or behind a paywall on my Patreon? Is the idea better served in readable text, or does it function more smoothly spoken conversationally on a podcast? Would people rather read it, or hear it?

Of course I was spoiled growing up. We didn’t just have The Muppet Show (and Fraggle Rock!) on TV- we knew the name of the man who brought the Muppets to life; Jim Henson. We even knew that the man who voiced “Miss Piggy”, Frank Oz, guest-starred in one of the biggest sequels of all time, as a little green alien called “Yoda”.
Oh, and that sequel? We all knew whose baby it was. George Lucas. His film-school buddy Steven Spielberg was the mastermind behind E.T., Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Jaws, and the classic-styled anthology show Amazing Stories. (Just to name a few.)
