Afghan Whigs
Janeane Garofalo once stated that she got a reduction because she didn’t want to be the girl behind the mic with big boobs. I think my horrific fantasy from panel 3 validates her decision beautifully.
For whatever reason, I am generally alone in my desire to bang Janeane Garofalo. Maybe she seems gloomy and standoffish to other guys. I have many predilections, one of which is the Wednesday Addams type; cute (legal age) girls with hair as black as their hearts, and doom on the brain. It has undone me more times than I care to relate here. Continue reading

Big Audio Dynamite

It wasn’t a Clash LP that had a stencil, it was CRASS! CRASS, YOU STUPID CARTOONIST! PUT THE BONG DOWN FOR CHRIST’S SAKE!
One of my old writing partners had a saying: “They can’t all be golden.” I think this particular strip illustrates that axiom nicely. But let’s be frank, you forgot B.A.D. was even a thing until just now.

Hole
The closest you can get to “a good Hole song” is the following. If there exists a female voice that science could prove is subconscious torture to heterosexual men, it would be Courtney Love’s. Continue reading

Bad Religion
This is probably one of the “first batch”, and it’s the first that got me hate mail. The Subhumans fan from the opening panel is M.I.A.; last I heard he may no longer be extant. Unfortunately I think Endora’s Emporium of Savannah is long gone. In the early ’90s, that was a place where I pawned CDs. It took me a few years to move up to actual pawn shops. I’ve pretty much never been comfortable dealing with other people. I think that really comes across in the sparse, robotic text I typically used in the captions of early BIULs like this one. Continue reading

Daft Punk
I bet you money that the original name these guys picked was “Daft Cunt”. I bet you money. Who ever heard of a “daft punk”?
Louis C.K. said it’s okay for me to say “cunt” on my site. Take it up with him. But why would you have an issue with that, and not the dick in the ear above?

Ned’s Atomic Dustbin
Speaking of “did I own that once”, did I actually have one of those eyeball webcam dealies, as seen in the first panel? I might have. I really don’t care for webcams; there’s one sticking out of the front of my laptop screen, and it’s like staring into the optic sensor of a killer robot. I’m on the verge of putting duct tape over it.
“Ned’s Atomic Dustbin”, like Toad The Wet Sprocket, comes from a Monty Python bit. You’ve got internet, you go dig up which ones. I’m at work.

Radiohead
I later found out the reason behind Yorke’s eyes blinking out of sync and I really should’ve just kept my mouth shut. I doubt he gives a shit however.
